With the recent release of the much awaited Twilight movie, the hype has begun to be compared to that of the Harry Potter series. This bothers me somewhat because the series can’t compare in any way other that popularity. Twilight is about love. Love is a catalyst throughout the entire series; it is the reason for every main characters’ actions. Harry Potter on the other hand has a changing them with every installment. Good and evil can be incorporated into every story line but the main plott always has a modification in every one.

 Secondly, Harry Potter was written with pure genius. These books walk readers through a whole world, and goes into detail when describing this amazing place. The Twilight saga is much less complex, and allows the reader to easily become captivated by the characters.

All in all, these two series are only comparable in popularity, not content.
